Meet the Agrove Academy Elk Grove Team

Our Coaches
Coach Ryan
After serving as a Marine in Iraq and facing severe PTSD, Ryan Webb found healing through strength training and the principles of StrongFit.
This transformation fueled his desire to help others, leading him to open The Grove Fitness-a gym where people who feel out of place in traditional gyms can find a welcoming, supportive environment to grow stronger together. Ryan’s mission took on new meaning when a boy with autism joined the gym. Through tailored StrongFit training, the boy’s physical strength, behavior, and communication transformed. Inspired by this, Ryan expanded his focus to the neurodivergent community, creating Agrove Academy’s specialized fitness programs for individuals with autism, Down syndrome, and other conditions. Today, Ryan and his team at Agrove Academy are dedicated to making fitness accessible and transformative for everyone, creating a space where every person can thrive.
Coach Soyfa
Soyfa’s favorite part of working with neurodivergent kids is witnessing their growth and resilience, as they rise to challenges and accomplish more than they-or others-might have thought possible.
Outside of work, Soyfa enjoys paddle boarding, beach trips, and camping with family and friends. She has a love for cooking, gardening, and all things vintage. Bilingual in Thai and with a Bachelor’s in Hospitality Management, Soyfa’s journey has taken her from playing on the Thai National tennis team at age 12 to becoming a dedicated advocate for inclusivity and empowerment. She sees herself continuing to impact lives at Agrove, whether in the gym or the pool, guiding each person toward their full potential.

Coach Michaila
Her own fitness journey began eight years ago, and she’s since become dedicated to powerlifting, achieving an impressive 656 lbs across her main lifts. Outside of the gym, Michaila finds joy in spending time outdoors with her partner and their two dogs, as well as engaging in photography and unwinding with her favorite shows. Looking ahead, Michaila envisions a life filled with fulfillment, helping others, and building a welcoming home where she can share joyful moments with family and friends.

Mission
Engage
Connect with our athletes through hands-on activities that spark excitement and build relationships.
At Agrove Academy, engagement involves the whole family. We create a place where everyone feels welcome, valued, and eager to take part, including the athlete’s parents, siblings, or caretakers. Our classes are fun, engaging, and personalized to meet each athlete’s needs. We want every session to be a positive experience, whether in life-skills education, dance or fine art programs, or one-on-one fitness coaching.
Empower
Give our athletes the tools and support they need to grow their confidence and independence.
Empowerment is the heart of what we do. We help participants build strength, inside and out, and show them how to believe in themselves. By setting clear goals and celebrating progress, we encourage each person to take charge of their journey and realize their full potential.
Elevate
Help our athletes break through barriers and reach new levels of success.
We believe every athlete is capable of excellence and breaking limits. From that belief, we challenge our athletes to rise above what they think is possible, whether by mastering a new skill, developing social abilities, or building a positive mindset. Our goal is to lift each individual higher and help them succeed in every area of their life.
Simple Equipment. Advanced Fitness.
Agrove Academy’s neurodivergent fitness program focuses on functional training with purpose. We use essential equipment like barbells, sandbags, sleds, and ropes to master foundational strength movements such as squats and deadlifts to help our athletes become strong for life.
Unique Features and Facilities
Agrove Academy’s facilities are uniquely designed to serve the neurodivergent community with a calm and focused environment. We prioritize sensory-friendly spaces by using blacked-out floors, walls, and ceilings to reduce unnecessary stimuli, helping our athletes maintain concentration during training. What truly sets us apart is our integrated approach to fitness and life skills training, empowering our members to grow both physically and mentally in a supportive and structured environment.
